Juniors 2008:
My First Impressions by Year 3

Madeleine

On my first day at Juniors, I felt a bit funny when I woke up.

When I got in the porch I felt nervous then Ellie and
Natasha came and I was more comfortable. When I saw my friends I felt a bit better. When I found my place I had butterflies in my tummy because I was sitting next to a new boy.

I felt excited when we started our timetables because I really wanted to start our work.

When it was lunch time I was really hungry, but I was scared I would drop my tray! I finished mine and went to put my tray on the table and I nearly dropped it—a few things fell off—but I had to go so someone picked it up for me.

When it was home time I felt fabulous!

My first day at Junior School, I felt excited at going to a bigger school.  I found my locker and looked for my seat. I felt like a big girl.

I felt more relaxed and settled seeing all my friends again.  I did some Maths and some English.  I loved the school lunch and liked not having any homework.

I was tired and happy to see my mum so I could tell her about my day.

I woke up early. I was excited. I was a bit nervous and worried because it was my first day in Junior School. It was a Thursday.

When I got there I sat in my chair. I was a bit scared and worried because it was my first day and it was a new classroom. I was happy when I saw my friends. Mrs Green was nice to me.

I had a tour around school. Then it was English and Maths. We had lunch in the big dining hall. I played with my friends in the playground. I liked seeing my sister Emma. I did not like staying until 4pm.

When I got home I was glad I survived my first day in Junior School, and I was hungry and tired.

On my first day of Junior School I felt very nervous when I woke up but excited. I was nervous because it was my whole new day and I was excited because I like school.

When we arrived I came in and I needed to find my seat and it was ok. All my friends made me more relaxed and my mum settled me down. We went on a tour around the school and Mrs Green told us about lots of things and then we went to our first assembly and it was good.

I liked the tour around the school because the teachers were nice, and the children were nice too.

When I went home I felt tired and happy and a bit sad because we were going home. I was looking forward for the next day. It was a nice first day at Junior School.

I felt excited when I woke up and I had butterflies in my tummy on my first Juniors day. When my mummy took me to school we dropped of Izzy my sister then I said bye bye.

My mummy took me into my classroom and I unpacked my bags and took off my coat. I felt happy when I started to work on the table that my friends were on. The thing that made me happy was that I saw all of my friends.

Then we had lunch which I enjoyed. After that we played in the playground with our friends. On our first day we got everything sorted.

After that it was home time and I felt really tired and I was ready for bed.
