Rossall 1st XI boys are the Lancashire League winners!

Rossall U12s,13s, and U15s went undefeated all season. The final games were against King Edwards & Queen Mary'sSchool in Lytham.
U12s had a fabulous season, culminating in a 6-1 victory against King Edwards Lytham. They won all their fixtures and Danny Wightman, aged 12 from Cleveleys, was the most improved player in goal.
U13s also won all their fixtures and have a number of outstanding players. Oliver Hughes, aged 13 from Cleveleys scored over 30 goals. Between the Under 12s and 13s the boys scored over 60 goals, only conceding 6. They won all 14 matches and should be aiming to compete at the National Finals next season.
U14s are a strong team and finished joint third at the regional finals. Thomas Gregory, aged 14 from Cleveleys is a wonderful prospect and Scott Hume, Steven Kane, Michael Morrison, Harley Taylor and Oliver Nimmo all had splendid seasons.
The Under 15s have finished a brilliant season undefeated. Cameron scored in every game and the boys are the reigning North of England Champions. They also won the very strong Repton Invitational Tournament. Harry Southern, George Briscoe and Frazer Forster are the most improved players.
U16s – are competing in the National Hockey Finals for the first time in many years. They won the North West Title, winning 1-0 against Caldy Grange with a wonderful goal from Jack Morrison. Dale Fisher, Joshua Landmann, Jack Bradley are the most improved players. Will Parker was a wonderful captain.
1st XI - This was the most successful season in many years! They won the Lancashire League title by defeating Merchant Taylors 3-1 and winning all 14 of their league fixtures. Mat Dryden and Charles Hough scored 50 goals between them. Charlie Andrews, Will Parker and Louis Weir were most impressive and James Wilson will be captain of a very strong team next year that will be aiming for the national finals.

Rossall peers Will Parker, aged 15 from Poulton and Josh Landmann, also 15 from Poulton supported James in both games. As a result of their impressive performance James and Will have been nominated for the Junior Regional Performance Centre, which is the regional academy and both boys will be hoping to push for national recognition. James Smith, aged 12 from Blackpool played centre midfield for the Lancashire JRPC and was one of the best players in the tournament.
Steven Kane, Scott Hume, Dylan Jordan and Louis Weir also played for Lancashire Under 15s in their tournament. Louis was Lancashire's best player, although they lost their two games.
