U16s Inter House Basketball Competition
On Sunday 31st Jan 2010 Matthew Au-Yeung, Lawrence Chan, Will Parker, Julian Ng, Edward So and Sam Ho represented the house in this tournament and played very well. Even though none of them play for the school team I was impressed by their effort they played for every game. No matter what the results were they performed excellent on the day, everyone in the gym stood up and cheered for them.
Closest game was with Pelican. We only lost by 1 point just like the seniors.
Good job guys!

Clay target shooting with Blackpool gun club
Sunday 15 Nov 2009
An enjoyable event which turned out to be a nice day with the weather situation. 3 out of the 4 shooters had not fired before with only Josh Stone who had had previous experience shooting at this level. After some practice shoots at an incoming, rabbit run and high shot coming head on, the lads from SE had a competition
Josh was under pressure as he was a competent shot. After 2 shoots at various targets Josh, Thaddeus and Sam were all on 6 shots each and it was down to the last shoot. Josh fired first and achieved 4/5, Thaddeus 3/5 and Sam 1/5. Overall Josh won with 10/15, second was Thaddeus 9/15, and third was Sam 7/15 and finally Marshall who scored 4/15.
We are hoping to eventually have a team of 5 / 6 shooters to compete nationally next year. The main drive for this will be the students themselves to commit their time and money to this sport.
Lawrence Chan, George Briscoe, Will Parker, Stephen Kane, Josh Landmann and Josh Stone. |
