House Trips

Alton Towers Theme Park

Over 100 pupils set off to Alton Towers for a fun packed day.  When we were inside the park we divided ourselves into groups to wander around the park. It was great fun to go on all the roller coasters. However, the greatest laughter for all of us was watching the faces of the scared Rossallians and teachers on the pictures from the roller coasters. Nearly everybody bought at least one picture.

Paintballing

Pupils from every boarding house were looking for trouble and willing to shoot.

After a 90 minute drive in a coach the bloodthirsty participants arrived at the American style camouflaged fort to let the ferocious sport begin. Everyone was issued with a big black plastic mask, a camouflaged overall, the necessary ammunition (which were balls of the size of a table-top football and filled with bright paint) and a marker (the paintball-gun). The 4 areas in which we played contained piles of wood, rusty barrels, corrugated-ion huts, old jeeps and stockades.  After some fast and furious games everybody was hungry and sweating under the overalls, which were covered in neon, green, yellow and pink. It was a great experience despite some bruises, muddy trainers and exhausted Rossallians.

Thank you Mr Roberts and Mr Corrie.

Trip to Chester

The more unusual landmarks in the city are the city walls, the rows and the black-and-white architecture.  The walls encircle the bounds of the medieval city and constitute the most complete city walls in Britain.

On Remembrance Sunday, 74 pupils had a trip to this beautiful city.  It has a quite big modern shopping centre inside Tudor buildings, crowded streets with many special evens,  People were very friendly and we had a really enjoyable time together.

Busy Pelicans

Nicky Grefe and Derek Leung had a joint birthday party in Mr and Mrs Emmett's House - huge Chocolate cake and some fine company.

Pelican golf championships 1st place Nicky Grefe, 2nd place Lawrence Vanderkerckhove, 3rd place Khan Toan Vu

Pelican mini golf ! Kosuke Kamiya 1st place,

Pnight and movie event. All the boarders watched "Hangover" on a projected screen  and enjoyed a mountain of food.
