Dolphin House was established in 1980 as a girls day house and currently houses 45 day girls. Dolphin House is housed on the ground floor of a newly refurbished building it shares with Rose House which is situated on the near right hand side of the Square adjoining the archway.

As a day house there are no bedrooms. Instead most each girls shares a study room with one other, although there is 1 three person study and 2 four person studies. Each study room has a desk for each pupils and a network socket for a computer. There is also a separate work room for group work. All girls have use of a Day Room for recreation containing comfortable seating, TV, DVD, video and internet access, a kitchen containing a microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge where they can make tea, toast and light snacks. There are no central changing rooms and baths, showers and toilets are available on each floor.

Megan wins the Rose Bowl at Fleetwood Music and Arts Festival

Megan with The Rose Bowl Trophy

Megan’s got talent!
.

Rossall pupil Megan McGailey competed in this year’s annual Fleetwood Music and Arts Festival and managed to scoop the overall winning prize, “The Rose Bowl” trophy!

Having won the judges hearts singing five different pieces, she won two first prizes and one second. Since her first singing experience three years ago, Megan is now an integral part of the school Chapel Choir and also enjoys polishing her skills in singing lessons with Miss Littlefair at school.

Looking ahead Megan would love to move into a singing as a profession, singing her preferred type of music – classical and musical theatre. Congratulations Megan!
