Clues from the Past

Being a Scientist

Being a Scientist

We wanted to find out if you could see bacteria.  We set up an experiment in class and grew mould and fungus.

.

We also used a bug machine and special gel that showed bacteria on our hands.  We had to wash them thoroughly (some of us 3 times!) before they were properly clean.

Clues from the Past: Infant 2 study the Ancient Egyptians

Clues From the Past

.

This term Year Two have been studying the Ancient Egyptians for their inquiry "Clues from the Past". They researched how archaeologists find artefacts, in particular how Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun.

At the end of the inquiry, they wrote and presented an assembly for their parents and the rest of the Infants. The assembly was super, especially the costumes and jewellery they had made.

Form teacher Mrs Tyldesley said: "This unit has been a great success. All the children have throughly enjoyed it and they are developing excellent research and communication skills."
