This course provides you with the knowledge, skills and qualifications to gain entry to A-level or the International Baccalaureate (IB). During the course you will study a minimum of five subjects. All pupils must take:
English as a Second Language
Mathematics
Science
You are then able to choose from one or more of the following subjects:
Business Studies
Art
Geography
Latin
French
First Language English
You will also take an (I)GCSE in your first language.
By the end of the year you should have passed at least 5 (I)GCSEs, will have subject specific vocabulary, will be able to operate successfully in a British classroom, will have the necessary academic skills to be successful at sixth form studies, and will have the linguistic confidence to survive in a British learning environment.
To enter this course you must be at least 15 years old, have completed four years of post elementary education, and have a basic knowledge of English.
