Allegro Choir
The Allegro Choir is run by one of our vocal tutors, Mrs Jane Turner, and is compulsory for the first term in Year 7 but then optional for the remainder of the year. The Allegro Choir enjoys performing a wide selection of popular music in Middle School Coffee Concerts and Christmas Celebrations both alone and occasionally with Chapel Choir.
Art Club
The Art Club is open to Junior School pupils in Years 3 to 6 and takes place on Mondays.
Astronomy
The Astronomy Club is run by Ms Lindsay Harrison (Science). You can learn about the universe through model making and research projects.

Fridays at 11.00am
Ball Games: Infants
Infants can attend this club, run by Mrs Sue Tyldesley on Mondays from 3.15pm to 4.00pm.
Basic First Aid
Junior School pupils in Years 3 and 4 can learn basic first aid on a Wednesday afternoon..
Basketball Club
Basketball Club is run by Mr Alan Williams (PE) to enable Middle School boys to play the game recreationally during their lunch time one day per week.
The Beecham Singers
The Beecham Singers is an all female choir which meets on a Tuesday evening. It is open to any age of vocalist from the local area. Run by Mr Stuart Corrie (Music) the choir focus on a diverse repertoire performing regularly for charity.
Board Games: Juniors
Juniors can come along to play Monopoly, Risk, Cluedo and many more games on a Wednesday afternoon.
Boomwhackers and Bells: Infants
Thursdays with Mrs Senior from 3.15pm to 4.00pm
CAS (Community Action Service)
As part of the International Baccalaureate the provision of a social service dimension takes the form of CAS. Years 12 and 13 have to involve themselves in community projects as part of their IB qualification.
CCF Band
The CCF Band is run by Miss Margaret Young (Director of Music) and is open to all CCF musicians. In addition to Marching Band, the group performs as a concert band and also boasts a lively Jazz Band which performs in a variety of venues from the Guild hall in Preston to the S.S. Teal on Lake Windermere. Those members of the band who are age 16 or over have the opportunity to gain a BTEC First Diploma in Music through the study of Military Music during CCF time on a Friday.
Chess Club
The Chess Club is run by Mr Daniel Hall and is open to Junior, Middle and Senior School pupils. Junior School pupils meet on a Friday afternoon. Middle School pupils meet on a Tuesday afternoon. Senior School pupils meet on a Monday afternoon.
Chapel Choir
The Chapel Choir is renowned for its exceptional standard of performance. Run by Miss Margaret Young (Director of Music), it rehearses Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime as well as Thursday activity time. The choir performs weekly in the School Chapel service and termly in Evensong, in addition to external performances that are given throughout the year in venues such as York Minster. This year will culminate in the choir touring Paris with performances in Notre Dame and Chartres Cathedral. Entry to the choir which is available to Year 8 and above, is by audition.
Cricket Club: Juniors
Summer term only – run by Mr James on Mondays and Thursdays at 4.00pm.
Croquet Club
Croquet Club is run by Mr Stuart Corrie (Music) during the Summer term on the Monis Lawn for Senior pupils at weekends in their free time.
Dance Workout
Dance Workout is run by Rosie Watt (Dolphin House) under the supervision of Mrs Sharon Alonso (Spanish) for girls to enjoy cardiovascular exercise to music.
Debating Society
The Debating Society is run by Mr Peter Jurczak (Philosophy) during Monday lunchtimes. Lively discussions take place on current topical issues.
Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh Scheme is co-ordinated by Mrs Isobel Riley.

EAGLES
The EAGLES is an environmental action group run by Mr Ken Sullivan (Head of Middle School). The group are working on a range of projects including beach clean up, organic gardening, wild life observation. They are also currently creating a new pond on campus.
Eco Council
Eco Council is open to Junior School pupils who want to help the environment. The club meets on a Monday afternoon.
Fives
The Fives Club is run by Mr Tom Root (Geography) and supported by Mr Arun Kaira and Miss Laura Harvey (PE). The club plays during lunchtime activity time and after Prep. It is open to boys and girls in Middle and Senior School. Juniors have their own full session on Wednesday lunchtimes.
Golf
The Golf Club is run by Mr John Roberts (Geography). During the winter months pupils practice at the De Vere Hotel Golf course driving range in Blackpool with professional coaching. In the summer months pupils play at nearby Fleetwood Golf Course.
Gymnastics
Junior School pupils in Years 3-6 can learn gymnastics on a Thursday lunchtime.
History Club
The History Club is run by Mr Gavin Ford (Head of History). The History Club is currently investigating individual family histories and establishing family trees for its members as well as researching Old Rossallians who fell during the first World War who were awarded for bravery and gallentry.
Hockey Club: Juniors
This mixed club is run by Mr D Houseman on Thursdays from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.
How to Draw Club
Juniors can have artistic fun with Mr Parsons on Thursdays from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.
Intermediate Guitar
A guitar club is run by Mr Gary Butcher (Head of Science) and aims to develop further from the basics of guitar playing.
Indoor Cricket
Indoor Cricket Club is run by Mr Ken Sullivan (Head of Middle School) to give Middle School pupils the opportunity to enjoy one of their favourite sports throughout the winter months.
I.T Club
I.T Club is run by Mrs Sue Byrne, IT Co-ordinator and provides pupils with an opportunity to learn and develop the art of designing web pages.
Junior Choir
Practice is on Monday lunchtimes with Mrs Rebecca Hall, the Junior Director of Music.
Lego Technics
Club for Juniors held on Wednesday afternoons during the Michaelmas term only.
Line Dancing
Line Dancing is run by Mrs Sharon Alonzo (Spanish) which is open to girls of all ages each term.
Literary Society
The Literary Society is run Mrs Jean Briggs (Head of English). Open to Year 11’s and Sixth Formers, the Society meets every Friday evening. The Society holds regular events such as Russian Evening, Chinese Evening which involve sampling food, film and literature from each culture. Other events have included a Shakespeare evening, a Ghost Walk and Christmas party.
Middle School Drama Club
The Middle School Drama Club is run Mrs Jane Cross (English). Pupils develop creative skills and have lots of fun through acting.
Middle School Orchestra
The Middle School Orchestra is run by Mr Stuart Corrie (Music) and is open to all instrumentalists from Years 7-9. Meeting for 45 minutes on a Monday lunchtime, the orchestra enjoys a wide range of music from Vivaldi to Wallace and Grommit!
Mind Storm
Mind Storm is run by Mr Kim Fung (Maths). Pupils can create programmable robots that move, out of Lego using computer technology.
Model Making Club
Model Making Club is open to pupils in the Junior School and takes place on a Monday afternoon.
Orchestra
Orchestra is run by Mr Stuart Corrie (Music).

Percussion Ensemble
Percussion Ensemble is open to Junior School pupils in Years 4-6 every Tuesday lunchtime.
Rackets Club
The Rackets Club is run by the PE department after Prep to enable boarders to play recreational badminton and squash.
Riding School
On Sundays Rossall Riders join Mrs Metcalfe for an afternoon of equestrian excellence and pony fun at Ribby Hall. To find out more please click here......

Rugby fun on Mondays from 4.00pm to 5.00pm with Mr Laurance Condon.
Science Club
Science Club is run by Ms Alison Crowe (Science). Pupils select a project to work towards their Bronze Crest Award.
Sewing Club
Sewing for the Infants on Wednesdays from 3.15pm to 4.00pm with Mrs Sue Mitchell.
Sports Club: Juniors
Club run by Mr Pettigrew on Wednesdays from 4.00pm to 5.00pm. This term: basketball, cricket and football.
Swimming
Swimming club is run by the PE department at lunchtimes during activity time and after School for pupils of all ages to swim recreationally and to train.
Table Tennis
Junior Table Tennis is run by Miss Clapp on Thursday afternoons.
Theatre Society
The Theatre Society is run by Mrs Jean Briggs (Head of English). Visits to theatres take place each term to Blackpool, Manchester and Bolton. In addition the Society visits Stratford Upon Avon to see an open air Shakespeare production which takes place in June usually at a stately home. In Summer 2007, Dean Taylor productions will bring ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ to Rossall School.
Violin Club
For Infants, on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 3.15pm to 4.00pm.
Warhammer
Warhammer is run by Mr Jonathan Holland (Science) and Ms Lindsay Harrison (Science). Pupils paint models and create scenery for a very old game based on War. Matches are held once all the preparatory work is completed.
Waves
Waves is a termly student publication run by a group of pupils under the supervision of Mr Paul Addison (Media Studies).
Weight Room
The Weight Room allows Senior pupils to work on cardiovascular and endurance fitness during activity time each afternoon.
