Cadets in the Army section get a lot of contact with regular soldiers through the activities they take part in. Cadets will learn foot & rifle drill, military knowledge, weapon handling, use of map & compass, field craft, first aid through a carefully managed mixture of classroom and practical tuition. These are then put to test through opportunities such as field days and camps through out the year.
Every year a camp is organised in July on an Army base where cadets learn new skills and take part in adventure training.
The Armed Forces provide the cadet force with a qualified supervisory team of military personnel known as the Cadet Training Teams (CTT). There are several CTTs around the country and Rossall School CCF is affiliated to 40 CTT. The participation of the CTT ensures a higher level of safety both for the cadets and for the officers, whilst always helping to keep people cheerful with their good and sometimes peculiar sense of humour.
