Obituary

It is with great sadness and shock that we have heard of the sudden death of Ian A.E.Hayton (P43-47).

Ian was a loyal and generous Rossallian who regularly attended the Lonond LORD Dinners.

.

After leaving school he became a stockbroker and then a hotelier - owner of the well-known and notable Foxhill Golf and Leisure Resort near Weybridge in Surrey. It was here that Ian played host to many Rossallian Club golf gatherings - the green fees he donated to the Rossallian Club. The England Rugby Union team use Foxhills as their base and when England went to Australia and won the World Cup in 2003, Ian sent his own chef out to Australia with the team.

Latterly, Ian was a generous and valued supporter of the Rossall Foundation. He also heade his own foundation; The Hayton Chritable Trust which supports children with Special Needs.

Ian was 79 when he died in February - he leaves a widow Pam and two children
